Yes, both, and with no obligation. You get a written price and one follow-up call. Nobody is going to sit in your front room until you sign something.
It is the standard installers are assessed against, and it is what lets you claim SEG export payments for the electricity you send back to the grid. Without an MCS-certified install, most suppliers will not pay you for your export. We are also registered with HIES and EPBS.
Not necessarily. A battery pays for itself if you use most of your electricity in the evening rather than the middle of the day. If your usage does not suit one we will say so on the survey rather than sell you one.
It covers our workmanship: if something fails because of the way we installed it, we come back and put it right. Insurance backed means the guarantee is underwritten, so it is still honoured if the company is no longer trading. Panels, inverters and batteries carry their own manufacturer warranties on top, which are much longer.
Most are, but pitch, orientation, shading and the condition of the roof itself all matter. The survey is where that gets answered properly, and if your roof is not suitable we will tell you rather than fit anyway.
There is a deposit once the job is booked to cover the equipment, then the balance on completion when the system is commissioned and handed over.
